22 July in Georgia

Analytical Center for Interethnic Cooperation and Consultations (ACICC), Georgian School Students Unions Alliance (GSSUA) and Tolerance Sources Caucasus are organising public actions and educational activities to commemorate the European Day for the Victims of Hate Crime. To remind, support and show solidarity with all those people who have suffered aggression because of their skin color, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, disability, religion and many other characteristics.

Public action 

Activists will gather on the main street of Tbilisi at 12:00 pm, with red and black air baloons. From this place they will move to Parliament’s old building and in the way they will spread the leaflets with the infomration about 22nd of July. Near the Parliament’s building is planned one minute of silence in honour of the victims of hate crime. After minute of silence we will let our baloons in the air to commemorate every person who has become a victim of hate in our region and around the world.

Information and training seminar

Moreover in 22nd of July representative of Georgian School Students Unions Alliance, with the educational support of European organizations, is going to hold informational training-seminar in the conference venue of the Ministry of Youth and Sport Affairs of Georgia, with the support of Georgian minority organizations and ministries.
