On the 12th August, on the occasion of the International Youth Day (United Nations) the No Hate Speech Movement and its online volunteers are organising the fourth European Action Day. Its main aim is to show a wider public the strength and power of young people standing up for human rights and expressing solidarity for those who are targeted by hate speech in Europe.

Suggested theme: Youth and Migration – Free from Hate.

Keeping the summer holiday period in consideration we planned this Action day simple and to the point with three easy actions.

  1. We invite young people to express solidarity with other Europeans who are targeted by hate speech by uploading their photo on the platform with template.
  2. We publish a call for creation of memes (predesigned images) with a deadline of mid September. Young people can submit images (memes) that express solidarity and argue with different types of hate speech. Details are here.
  3. We ask young people all over Europe to wear a red heart on this day to express solidarity and show the power of youth in Europe wherever they are.

The actions will take place on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/nohatespeech ), Twitter ( #nohatespeech ) and here on the official No Hate Speech Movement platform (www.nohatespeechmovement.org )
