Digital Citizens Romania with the support of various partners (Romanian MEP Victor Negrescu, public institutions, private organizations and nonprofit entities like Save the Children) organized Out4Coding – part of Europe Code Week initiative.

 

The 2 days event (22-23 October) promoted the importance of digital skills and the responsible use of technology & Internet, including sessions about responsible communication in online, family in digital era and creative activities for children and young people.

Additionally, Out4Coding was included in the European Cyber-security Month and actively promoted the principles of No Hate Speech campaign.

Organized in an unconventional location (one of the biggest Malls in Bucharest) the event brought digital skills, technology together with a raising awareness campaign on responsible use of internet, in a place closer to people of all ages, thus reaching more than 100 direct participants and more than 1.000 indirect beneficiaries.

Digital Citizens Romania is the first Romanian Think-Tank in the Digital sector, bringing together digital enthusiasts, public policy experts, private sector representatives and digital innovators with a mission to promote Digital Citizenship and all its dimensions.
