Kwame  (20) is a former child soldier who now lives and studies in the United States of America. His dreams are to advocate for child soldiers around the world and to work towards the socio-political stability of his country.

Who said there isn’t a second chance in life? I have been through it all. I have been through thick and thin. I have been in real wars and as a consequence, I suffered from serious psychological trauma. My past sometimes hunts me, but I am eager to turn away that sad page of my life and look forward to the future. Of course, life gave me a second chance and I hope to make something positive out of it. Today I study in a renowned university and I am about to graduate with a First Class bachelor’s degree in Law. Because of the obstacles I have been through, I look forward to advocate for all child soldiers around the world.
